RORO Method of Shipping cars

RORO shipping method is mainly for cars, trucks, buses and tractors. The vehicles are driven into the ship on departure and driven off the ship on arrival at st.kitts.

Although RORO has previously been viewed as an unsafe method of shipping, RORO ships have really come a long way through the years and are now seen as one of the safest mothods of shipping. The vehicles are now strored on the lower decks of the ship as opposed to the open deck. This therefore eliminates risks to the cars caused by weather,salty water and other outside elements.

Whilst under the deck,the cars are now also strapped down securely to avoid any movement during transit. This has lead to a huge decrease in the number of cars damaged due to collision as the cars move back and forth.

Container Method of shipping cars and goods

Container method is seen as the safest way of shipping cars and goods worldwide. The cars and goods are loaded into steel containers of different shapes and sizes and shipped worldwide. We currently offer the following types of containers

10 foot Dry Van container, 20 foot Dry Van , 20 foot Open Top container, 40 foot Open Top, 20 foot Flat Rack container, 40 ft Flat Rack, 20 foot Reefer container, 40 foot Dry Van containers, 40 foot Open Top containers, 40 foot High Cube Reefer container.

For ease of loading, we recommend that you bring your cargo to either of our warehouses in Portsmouth or Felixstowe for loading. We recommend this especially for cars as our proffessional loading staff will secure the cars to avoid any movement during transit.

If you prefer to load personal goods at your home address or office, we can deliver the container to you for loading. You wil be allowed three hour loading lime and thereafter a charge of £50/hour will apply. Please contact us for a quote if this is the service that you would prefer.
